Taisa & Derek are a couple who live in Bray, south sea side of Dublin, they have their story related to the city, so we decided to do the photo shoot there. Always when I decide to make a “beach photo shoot” in Ireland I am afraid about how is going to be the weather. The day was unbelievable beautiful, very fog at the beginning but soon the sun showed up and we got the best of it. I loved how the pictures came up, specially about the atmosphere that Bray has and it really can be seen and felt on the pictures. Want to see? Come with me
My first experience as Wedding Photographer in Ireland was already a traditional Celtic Wedding. The Wedding of Brazilian Larissa and the Irish Matt took place in The Station House Hotel. As I had never been in a ceremony like that, it was really interesting to get to know more about the Irish and Celtic culture. There are many little details that make these ceremonies peculiar, from its superstitions, location, decoration, clothes and many others.
The Celtic usually preferred to get married in outdoor areas where they could have more of a connection to nature. At the altar, once the bride and groom are together, a circle is made around them to symbolize the union. The handfasting is the most characteristic aspect of the ceremony, when the priest or minister wrap the clasped hands of the couple in the end of his stole, to symbolize the trinity of marriage; man and woman joined by God.
Beautiful ceremony, with a lot of personality. Loved been part of this special day and register such a beautiful moment of their lives.
